Precision Customized Sheet Metal Processing 5052 Bending Metal Enclosure Electronic Equipment Enclosure
product detail
Sheet metal processing is a comprehensive cold working process for thin metal sheets (usually under 6mm), carrying out a series of processing operations to change their form and properties through physical and chemical methods in order to create various shapes of parts or structural components. This includes shearing, punching, bending, welding, riveting, mold forming and surface treatment.
Processes
Material Preparation: Select appropriate metal sheets, commonly used materials include carbon steel, stainless steel, aluminum alloy, copper, etc.
Cutting & Punching: Cutting metal sheets by shearing or punching, etc., and punching holes or shape processing on the sheets.
Forming & Bending: Processing sheet metal into a predetermined shape by bending, deep drawing, flanging, etc.
Welding: Connecting multiple parts together through welding, common welding methods include spot welding, argon arc welding, laser welding, etc.
Surface treatment: In order to improve the corrosion resistance, aesthetics and functionality of the parts, sheet metal parts usually need to be sprayed, plated, anodized and other surface treatment.
Fine Machining and Inspection: After completing the preliminary processing, further finishing, such as drilling, tapping, deburring, etc., and quality inspection are required.
Workshops
Sheet metal processing methods:
1. Non-mold processing: through CNC punching, laser cutting, shearing machine, folding machine, riveting machine and other equipment for sheet metal processing process, generally used for sample making or small batch production, the cost is higher.
2. Mold processing: through a fixed mold, sheet metal processing, generally have the undercutting mold, molding die, mainly for mass production, the cost is lower.
