Classification by alloy series
Aluminum alloy is made of aluminum and other metal elements (such as copper, magnesium, silicon, manganese, zinc, etc.) through alloy materials. 1.1000 series :pure aluminum alloy, the main element is aluminum, and the content of other elements is very small . 1050, 1070
Performance: high purity aluminum, electrical conductivity, thermal conductivity, corrosion resistance
Application: Conductive materials, heat exchange devices, chemical equipment pipelines
2.2000 series :aluminum-copper alloy, mainly adding copper (Cu) . 2011, 2014, 2017, 2117, 2024
Performance: good cutting performance, high strength, low corrosion resistance
Application: General term for duralumin, cutting materials: structural materials such as parts screws, aircraft materials, forging materials, gasoline engine hydraulic parts, sporting goods, etc.
3.3000 series :aluminum-manganese alloy, mainly adding manganese (Mn) . 3003, 3203
Performance: Heat resistance is better than pure aluminum, high strength, good corrosion resistance
Application: Chemical equipment pipelines, heat exchange equipment, photosensitive cylinders for copiers
4.4000 series : aluminum silicon alloy, mainly adding silicon (Si) . 4032
Performance: Good heat resistance and wear resistance
Application: VCR heads, piston parts, forgings
5.5000 series :aluminum-magnesium alloy, mainly adding magnesium (Mg) . 5052, 5056
Performance: Medium strength alloy, corrosion resistance, good weldability
Application: Chemical pipelines, mechanical parts, camera tubes
6.6000 series :aluminum-magnesium-silicon alloy, mainly adding magnesium and silicon (Si) . 6061, 6063
Performance: 6061 medium strength structural alloy, excellent corrosion resistance, good weldability and processability
Applications: road vehicles, ships, marine transport equipment, road materials and construction materials, sporting goods, etc.
Performance: 6063 is corrosion resistant, has good surface treatment, and excellent extrusion properties, accounting for the vast majority of extrusion materials
Application: building materials, construction materials, decorative materials, household appliances and other general products
7.7000 series :aluminum-zinc alloy, mainly adding zinc (Zn). 7003, 7075
Performance: 7003 medium strength welded structural alloy
Application: Vehicle, automobile, locomotive parts
Performance: 7075 is known as super duralumin, the highest strength alloy, corrosion resistant, poor weldability, and a high-strength material
Application: Aircraft and other mechanical parts, sports equipment, etc.
