Customized High Quality Aluminum Extrusion Parts

The parts in the picture are made of aluminum 6061-T6, and its processing way is aluminum extrusion. The extrusion process involves forcing aluminum alloy through a die to create a specific cross-sectional profile. Additionally, aluminum extrusions allow for complex designs and the integration of features such as grooves, cavities and internal voids within extruded parts.

Extrusion Processing02

The manufacture of aluminum extruded parts involves several key steps, each of which is customized to produce a specific profile and meet application requirements:
1. Blank preparation: The process starts with the preparation of an aluminum blank, which is a cylindrical aluminum block. These blanks are heated to a specific temperature to soften the metal for extrusion.
2. Extrusion: The heated blank is then forced through the die using a hydraulic press.  A die is a specially designed mold that shapes aluminum into the desired profile. Extruded aluminum comes as a continuous piece with the cross-sectional shape of the die.
3. Cooling: After extrusion, the aluminum profile is cooled by air cooling or water quenching.  Controlled cooling is critical to ensuring that the mechanical properties of aluminum are maintained.
4. Stretching and Straightening: The cooled extrusions are then stretched and straightened to remove any distortion and ensure they meet the required dimensional tolerances.
5. Cutting and finishing: The profiles are cut to the required length and undergo various finishing processes such as machining, anodizing and powder coating to enhance their appearance and performance.
6. Quality control: Strict quality control measures are implemented throughout the manufacturing process to ensure that extrusions meet necessary specifications and standards.
