Pans Technology produces extruded parts with complex shapes and consistent dimensions to meet the needs of customers in industries such as construction, automotive, and electronics through precise mold design and efficient production processes.
Advantages of extrusion molding
1. Efficient production: Extrusion is suitable for high volume production and allows for efficient continuous processing.
2. Part complexity: Extrusion is well suited to create parts with complex cross-sectional shapes, accommodating a wide range of design needs.
3. High material utilization: There is virtually no waste of material, resulting in high material utilization.
4. High dimensional accuracy and stability: Modern extrusion presses and processes can produce extruded parts with tight tolerances, durability and dimensional stability. The extrusion process is also suitable for brittle and ductile materials.
Extrusion is a plasticizing process in which material is forced through a die orifice using an extruder at high or normal temperatures to form a part with a constant cross-section and adjustable length.
Extrusion process
1. Direct Extrusion
Direct extrusion, also known as forward extrusion, is the most common method of metal extrusion. In this type of extrusion, heated material is pushed through a container by a high-pressure press. The material flows in the direction of motion of the press and exits through an opening in a fixed die.
Advantage: Direct extrusion allows for larger contouring and higher quality surface finishes.
2. Indirect Extrusion
Indirect extrusion, also known as reverse extrusion, is different from the direct extrusion process. In this process, the die remains stationary and the piston moves backward, forcing the material through the die to form the desired profile.
Advantage: Compared with direct extrusion, indirect extrusion generates less heat, so there is usually better control of dimensional consistency, material properties and grain size.
3. Hot extrusion
Hot extrusion refers to the extrusion molding process at high temperatures. Applicable to metal materials and some high-temperature plastics. As the material flows more easily at high temperatures, hot extrusion can more easily create complex cross-sectional shapes.
Advantages: suitable for large size and complex shape of the metal parts, the material flow is good, can create a complex cross-section shape.
4. Cold extrusion
Cold extrusion is an extrusion molding process at or near room temperature. Applicable to metal materials (such as aluminum, copper, steel, etc.) and plastics.
Advantages: cold extrusion can obtain high surface quality and dimensional accuracy, but also to improve the strength and hardness of the material, with high production efficiency.
Pans Technology rigorous process, from material use and tooling to surface treatment and quality inspection, ensures that every stage of the process is strictly controlled to ensure that our customers are provided with products that meet industry standards.
